Alberta does not apologize. Alberta explains. “I’m not sorry about the truck. The truck is fine. You’re the one who parked a Prius in the merge lane.” If pressed, Alberta will acknowledge that conditions existed, without conceding fault. But if your truck is actually stuck at minus thirty, Alberta will show up with a tow chain at 6 a.m. and never mention it again. The help comes without the apology. That is Alberta’s love language.
